One of the most beautiful things about being located here in Bali, is the international community that makes it's way through this magical island either for short, or longer term travels.
Wood School Bali is proud to be one of Bali's first established Worldschooling Hub Schools, and looks forward to the years ahead as we continue to grow and welcome worldschool families.
We have a long held tradition of welcoming traveling worldschooling families, families on a gap year and full time travelling families into the school for pre-booked weekly enrollments (1-5) weeks, as space allows.
This integration enriches the experiences of both our long-term and short-term students, fostering connections and shared learning opportunities that transcend borders.
Both through developing the strength of authentically welcoming, and experiencing being welcomed into this new international environment, the children solidify their intercultural human connections, which have endless long term, positive outcomes well into adulthood, for each young person.
Please feel free to contact us for more information about short term enrollment options/availability
"Both our daughters (3 and 10) attended this school for a while during our stay in Ubud.
We really liked the atmosphere and vision of the school. You wish all schools were like Woodschool. I am a teacher myself and know what I am talking about. ;-) The most important thing is that the kids loved it! We will be back! "
"The Woodschool isn't just a school; it's a place where our kids grew not only academically but also as compassionate, socially responsible individuals. It added a unique and enriching dimension to our travel experiences in Bali. Highly recommended and look forward to coming back."
" My three kids, ages 5, 8, and 10, have spent one term at Wood school this spring. They have had a wonderful time here! As a worldschooling family, this has been an incredible opportunity to build community and routine, and to experience an education like no other."
"I am so happy my kids have had the chance to attend Wood School and would recommend you check it out! "
"Wood School Bali is absolutely wonderful in every way. The curriculum that they offer, the natural learning environment and the daily subjects and routines within the school are unique, incredibly beneficial for childrens overall health, learning and well-being and I truly wish we could see more schools like this across the globe."
"The management and teaching staff are so knowledgeable, kind and genuine, ensuring that every individual feels welcomed and has a positive experience within the school and the community."
"The parent community has also been so welcoming, with families from all around the world hanging out at the cafe and supporting one another."
"Our son LOVED going to school so much and we loved how supported he was emotionally by his teachers and peers. Honestly, I wish I had this type of school education as a child and think the world would be a better place if schools like Wood School would be the global standard. The way they foster an interest in learning, play, exploration, teamwork, and community is extraordinary and unlike the confines of most traditional school systems. The project based learning curriculum is what we were looking for as parents and our son came home everyday sharing complex subjects in a way that showed he truly understood what he was learning. "
"The older students are given so much enrichment, opportunity, and responsibility. It looks truly incredible."
" I feel so lucky to have had such an incredible experience here and know the school will continue to impact families lives as they did ours. The director and her family are such wonderful humans with the biggest of hearts and their presence on the campus daily makes such an imprint in the day to day. This school is not only a great international education, but it is a true community of parents, teachers, and kids that truly come together to support one another. This is a place where community is rooted into the structure in a way that is authentic and integral and has truly taught my child what a loving community means. I highly recommend taking a chance with this school! "
"They have been learning and trying so many new things, from first aid skills to comic book making, vegan cooking to building a structure out of bamboo. They have had the chance to work the real garden, to learn about the environment, and take field trips to cultural spots around the island. While the academics are not front and centre, as in the kids are not seated at a desk all day long doing rote math for example, they are woven into the lessons so that students are able to learn beyond the classroom."
" What school and education for youth should be. All elements of neohumanist education with all the holistic elements for kids to thrive. From the garden and organic food, to the pool play time to art, meditation and yoga- this place is wonderful!! "
