Session dates:

July 2nd-6th (FULL)

and

July 9th-13th

Hours: 10 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday

We will kick off the week in our beautiful school gardens with activities such as Yoga, Meditation, songs, and Arts and Crafts. We will visit Bali Bird Park, Bedugul Botanical Gardens, Historic Japanese Caves, and one of our school's island favorites, the Turtle Conservation Center, where children can release baby sea turtles back into their natural habitats. We will conclude the week with a relaxing day in our gardens, revisiting our activities from the start of the week, and each child will get to take home a special memento of their own creation.

As spaces are limited, please make sure to reserve in advance (prices will slightly increase after June 1st).

    Camp Program

We couldn't be happier to announce the start of enrollments for our 2019 Summer Camp, or in Indonesian, our kamp anak. This year promises to be as exciting as the last two. Each week, we will embark on two off-campus trips to some of our favorite Bali attractions, such as Bali Safari Park, Bedugul Treetop Adventure Park, and of course, the Sea Turtle Release Center. Children will enjoy splashing and playing, ziplining, climbing, and soaring above the trees in the cool mountains while exploring the baby shark conservation area. Time and again, children of all ages love releasing baby turtles into the ocean and watching them find their way into the sea. While at our school campus, the children will have full and enriched days as part of our sekolah Bali program. We will integrate much of our school curriculum and local traditions to provide them with as dynamic an experience as possible. Yoga, meditation, and healthy vegetarian snacks and lunches are integral parts of our Wood School program. The children will delve into the science of crystal making, the traditional art of Indonesian Batik, and natural tie-dyeing, creating beautiful mementos to take home. They will also be introduced to traditional Balinese Dance, Capoeira, Gymnastics/Yoga Dance, and Robotics. Additionally, the students will participate in workshops making Traditional Indonesian Jamu, which are Ayurvedic remedies brought from India to Java using local herbs. Scrubs, creams, teas, and juices are just a few examples of what we will explore. The children will have the chance to participate in Indonesian Cooking lessons, learning to create dishes like vegetarian 'Soto' soup or a traditional local dessert. We will also host natural chocolate-making workshops and plan a special interactive, educational snake visit from local experts.

Wood School Bali Summer Camp is Back!

Here we are - what a year we have all had! We are excited and optimistic that we will all be able to enjoy a beautiful kamp anak experience once again this upcoming July. We plan to expand our program musim panas a bit, accepting children ages 2.5-12 years. For children 13-15, we will offer a filmmaking program running alongside the camp. We will group them into three camp programs by age. Our themes will be based around conservation, environmentalism, and love for the earth and all its creatures. We will add details below. We have opened registration for our sekolah Bali, so please feel free to contact us with any questions at all regarding price, registration, or details!

      Week 1 - July 5th-9th, 2021

For the first week of our kamp anak, we will take a trip to a local beachside baby sea-turtle release and conservation center. Our theme of the week will center around this with arts and crafts, science, and ecological programs aimed at each of the age groups. We will include many of the aspects and programs the kids have loved in past program musim panas sessions, such as vegan cooking, yoga, meditation, arts and crafts, hydroponics, robotics, and local cultural programs (please see the sekolah Bali camps below from previous years). Both weeks will include closing tree planting ceremonies and reclaimed wood makers studios; week one will focus on designing treasure boxes.

      Week 2 - July 12th-16th, 2021

The second week of our kamp anak will be themed “Chocolate and Salt”. The children will take a trip to a Sea Salt farm and explore making salt at school. During this time, they will learn about chocolate and its origins. They will create a variety of vegan chocolate-based desserts, incorporating their homemade salt as a primary ingredient. As with previous programs musim panas, we will include many beloved activities from past camps, such as yoga, art, gardening, painting, and more (please see the camps below from previous years). Week 2 will also feature new activities to enhance the experience for children attending both weeks of camp. Both weeks will culminate in closing tree planting ceremonies and reclaimed wood maker studios; week one will focus on designing birdhouses, while week two will offer unique projects related to our theme. This school Bali experience promises to be both educational and fun!

      Grouped by Age

We will develop our kamp anak programs to maximize the experience for children based on their developmental stages and ages according to the themes. We will integrate Art, Science, Ecology, and Joy and Play (and so much more). Our vegan snacks and lunch will be included for all children. We are looking forward to a beautiful two weeks of our program musim panas and to seeing friends both new and old again as we are able to open the doors for a summer program at sekolah Bali! Age Groups - 2.5 - 5 years 6-12 years (divided according to enrollment into groups by age) Limited Spaces Available. Please contact us at info@woodschoolbali.org for more information!

        Holiday Camp 2021

        Movie Making and More!

Our Holiday Camp, or kamp anak, is back! This year, our program musim panas will focus on movie making, drama, woodworking, and vegan cooking. Each day will begin with yoga and meditation. We will engage in nature-based arts and crafts, including a natural dyeing project alongside costume and prop design, script writing, acting, and filming. Students will learn various vegan dessert recipes and culinary techniques. For those interested in the filming aspects of movie making, they are welcome to bring their phones or cameras, as we will have an instructor on-site. Other children will have plenty of opportunities to participate based on their interests.

We will develop our programs to maximize the experience for children, tailored to their developmental stages and ages, all while incorporating themes of Art, Science, Ecology, Joy, and Play. Our vegan snacks and lunch will be included for all children attending this engaging program at our sekolah Bali.

          Summer Camp 2022

We are pleased to announce that we have set the dates and opened registration for this year's kamp anak in beautiful Bali. We look forward to meeting new friends and welcoming back many old friends from all around the world as we gather here once again for our program musim panas.

Our approach this year will be similar to previous years, grouping the children by age to maximize their enjoyment and allow them to become fully immersed in the various programs. Both weeks of the camp will feature multidisciplinary stations running simultaneously, which we've found to be the best way to engage the children in projects that resonate with them. Programs such as Filmmaking will include all the kids participating in their individual capacities.

We plan to incorporate a traditional Indonesian folktale and costumes to bring our short film to life. As always, we will offer ongoing yoga, vegan cooking and baking, painting, and arts and crafts, including woodworking. The children will be free to swim and play, with our vegan snack and lunch program provided for all. Additionally, we will introduce them to traditional forms of natural dyeing and batik, ensuring they come home with many special creations. Both weeks will culminate in closing tree planting ceremonies, and the programs will be designed to maximize the experience for the children based on their developmental stages and the themes. We will integrate Art, Science, Ecology of Joy and Play, and much more.

Our hours will be 10-3, Monday to Friday on July 11-15 and July 18-22.

With enough variation in the programs, children are welcome to enjoy both weeks if your schedule allows. Our vegan snacks and lunch will be included for all students.
