Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and innovative Primary Teacher to join our dedicated team. You will play a vital role in shaping young minds and hearts, integrating the British Columbia Curriculum with our unique values-driven and experiential learning approach. You will inspire students to connect deeply with themselves, each other, and the world around them, all while promoting joyful and engaged learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver engaging, values-based lessons that foster holistic development.
• Integrate Neo-Humanist principles into the curriculum, emphasizing empathy, ethical leadership, and environmental stewardship.
• Create a joyful and active learning environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.
• Utilize hands-on, experiential learning opportunities, including outdoor education and community service projects.
• Foster a classroom culture of respect, kindness, and self-reflection through daily mindfulness practices.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to design interdisciplinary projects that connect academic content with moral growth.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to build a strong school community.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
• Experience working with primary-aged children in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of holistic education and Neo-Humanist principles.
• Creative and innovative teaching methods, with a commitment to experiential learning.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Passion for nurturing the moral and ethical development of students.
